CLINICS

Even though the technical skills of the individual are the hardest part of the sport of soccer, we must not forget to consider the team theory and tactics of the game of soccer.

Clinics are an essential element in Elite Soccer PK’s curriculum because it is here that individual skills and techniques are applied to the team setting. Some of the most fundamental practices are not practiced during a typical team practice.

At Elite Soccer PK our main goal and purpose is Player development. For that reason, this is not your typical Soccer Clinic where you only go to play around and walk away with just the fun, but to actually learn the basics and fundamental of the sport and a set of essential values while your child is having fun.

Yes, we allow some time at the end of each session to scrimmage. Playing time is a very important stage in the development phase, where the players have a chance to implement everything that was taught during the practice.

The clinics consist in Footwork warm up, Skill drills & game scenario situations and Scrimmage at the end.

The main purpose of our Clinics is to have fun, but keeping the development aspect in the scope as the main goal. For that reason, we have designed a program where it gradually builds week after week and unfortunately, we do not accept late enrollments.

In fact, enrollment closes the day prior the first practice. However, in occasions we allow late enrollments within the first 2 o 3 weeks if slots are still available. Please contact us if this is your case.

Unfortunately, the program must be paid in full in advanced regardless how many sessions you are attending. Since the clinics program have a set scheduled, if you miss one or more practices there will be no make-up practice of refunds.

The average player misses 2 o 3 practices, which is ok! However, missing more than 75% of the program might affect the development.

Please bring the mandatory PK Training T-Shirt and the mandatory inflated soccer ball
Return players can use the T-Shirt from previous programs or purchase a new one from us.
New Players must purchase the Training t-Shirt in order to participate.
* You can bring your own soccer ball or purchase a quality PK Ball from us. Depending of how big/tall the player is, we recommend a Size-4 ball for ages 5 to 9 & Size 5 Ball for ages 10+

In addition, bring comfortable soccer attire: Soccer shorts and socks, plenty of water and a snack such a piece of fruit or a protein bar. A clean t-shirt and sandals are recommended for after practice. Depending of the weather please take into consideration to bring sunscreen, hat, sweater, beanie, etc. During practice shin-guards are not required, but highly recommended during the scrimmage at the end of practice.

Our main goal and purpose is Player development. For that reason, this is not your typical Soccer Clinic where you only go to play around and walk away with just the fun, but to actually learn the basics and fundamental of the sport and a set of essential values while your child is having fun.

It depends of the number of participants we divide all players into 3 or 4 different groups based on skill level and performance (not by age necessarily), so everyone has the opportunity to reach their true and highest potential. We keep our coach-player ratio to a max of 10 child’s per head coach, so the participants have the opportunity to develop their skills, values and to grow their game by touching all the aspects of the game.

The program is designed to have different topics each week and it gradually builds week after week. Hence, since it gets more challenging; we have the right to either downgrade/upgrade any player that is preforming poorly (because the skill practice is to advanced and needs to refresh some basic skills) or because the player has developed faster than their teammates and needs to be moved up to the next level to keep his/her development.

We touch the 4 pillars of the game: Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psychological divided in 3 sections which are:

  • Warm up, Footwork & Ball control, Agility & Coordination with/without ball
  • Skill Drills & Game Scenario situations. Each week a different topic which builds up to the following week.
  • Scrimmage at the end to implement what was learned during the practice session

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We are convinced that good players are first and essentially humans that are conscious and in control. Our approach to soccer development is to provide training based on a foundation of core values.

As a contact team sport, collaboration, passion and decision-making are key ingredients in the make-up of the effective soccer player. We emphasize these practical pillars, with special focus on open and efficient communication between players and training staff. We are intentional about ensuring that no one is left behind; observing attentively for signs of withdrawal or self-doubt and efficiently guiding players into a united bond of competitive collaborators.

OUR 8-CORE VALUES

Our motivation for being involved in soccer training stems from what the sport truly is about: a beautiful, inspiring team sport with the capacity for bringing joy. We know that historically, the best soccer players have primarily one thing in common, i.e. playing to enjoy the game. To that end, we are inspired by a set of core values based on the vital need to make sure everyone who plays does get the best out of it, without taking away from another’s chances at catching their fair share of satisfaction and optimum performance.

Our eight core values, therefore, are rooted in fair competition, satisfaction and collaboration. Though they can be further subdivided into more, these eight, strategically capture what our goals for ourselves and our trainees are about:

  • Respect
  • Honesty
  • Integrity
  • Humility
  • Sportsmanship
  • Discipline
  • Communication
  • Leadership
